Grants

2017/18 will be our 8th year of making grants and we have now established an impressive record of giving. Income from individual OC and other regular private donors and family trusts, rental income from a commercial lease, our London Marathon runners, and income from investments allows us to do all this.

In 2016/17 grants totalling £89,092 were made:

Bursary - matched by Charterhouse, £17,765 a bursary for a young person to attend in the sixth form.

Chance to Shine - £5,000 primary school cricket.

Peckham Shed: £7,000 towards the Youth Theatre Programme.

St Hugh’s Church (formerly St Hugh’s Charterhouse in Southwark): £6,462 Chairs for the new church and £1,000 towards the Summer Programme.

Bursary: from September, in partnership with Charterhouse, a bursary for a young person living in Southwark to attend the Sixth Form at Charterhouse.

Greenhouse Charity: £10,000 for the development of a girl’s dance academy, £5,000 for Bethwin Football Club.

The Mousetrap Foundation: £8,000 for drama workshops and theatre visits for 4 youth groups in the summer holiday.

Dulwich Picture Gallery: £8,200 for a pilot Summer Art Project for Southwark young carers.

In 2010/11:

Downside Fisher Youth Club: £10,000 for the Summer Programme, £5,000 for Pool Lifeguard training, £20.000 for the Youth Work Apprentice Scheme.

Greenhouse Charity: £10,000 for the Bethwin Football Club at Burgess Park.

Edenbridge After-School Holiday Scheme: £5,000 for the Easter and Summer Holiday Schemes.
